Facilitate community conversations on public policy issues and other community concerns using the public issues forum process, by naming and framing issues in public terms. A key part of this process it to identify critical issues that impact the community, engage in a benefits and burdens analysis and identify pros and cons of each recommendation for public discussion.

During the weekend of August 4 and 5, 2023, the National Black Caucus of State Legislators hosted our Inaugural State of Black Health in America Policy Forum: Obesity and Mental Health at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Seattle, Washington. Tracy Brown, Owner / Principal Consultant, Equity Leadership Collaborative was referred to us by a trusted resource, to not only assist us in identifying speakers for the forum, but present as well.
Ms. Brown did both. Ms. Brown conducted an amazing presentation on the Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) and bias in Health Care System Impacts of Maternal Obesity / Infant Mortality. In addition, Ms. Brown actively engaged in the question and answer discussion with expert advice and recommendations on how to examine the interplay and bias in the health care system, specifically around all the social determinants of health toward a better equitable quality of life for all.
We recommend you seek Ms. Brown if you are interested in addressing bias and inequities within the health care system. Tracy is professional, responsive, and is fun to work with, and submits her deliverables on time. Please contact me at the below information:

“…It is a true pleasure to work with Tracy. She conducted primary research and developed survey and focus group questions for a disparity and equity study project that I managed. She is extremely knowledgeable regarding inequities in the health and wellness around the social determinants of health, and has become an irreplaceable asset to our team. She is also great to work with, as well as sensitive to timelines and budgets. Tracy is truly an expert!”
